Leeks at the RMI Garden
Here are some of the leeks at the Robert Mondavi Institute Garden at UC Davis. They have flowered - are they still edible in this state?

Some of my leeks have just flowered and look just like this. I'm always curious to see vegetables that we are only ever used to seeing in one form (washed, chopped, and prepped on a supermarket shelf) in a slightly different form in their natural environment.
